Monday...back to the grind after a wonderful break. Rather than go to the ball game tonight I worked a little late and then came home to relax a bit. My new swing is wonderful. Mom and Dad had a two sided swing in the yard when I was growing up. As I sat and gently swayed back and forth tonight I could picture sitting on the swing with my childhood best friend discussing the activities of the day and planning the wonderful adventures we would go on the next day. I could picture ending up on the swing with my mom and dad on evenings too hot to stay in the house during my teen years when time with parents was not so frequent. Who'd have thought that the gift of a swing would be so much more.
