Idealism - May 8, 2006

Happy Birthday Sis

It's virtue day! I am looking for something that will inspire and energize. 52 virtues that I know of, there must be something like that. Lets try Idealism.

Idealism - (philosophy) the philosophical theory that ideas are the only reality;
impracticality by virtue of thinking of things in their ideal form rather than as they really are;
high-mindedness: elevated ideals or conduct; the quality of believing that ideals should be pursued.

Ok here I go stretching things again. In the Philosophical sense Idealism means that you don't just believe in Fairies; but because you believe in Fairies they are real. In the practical sense Idealism means that you don't accept that the way things are is just the way things are. You believe that positive change is possible. You see possibilities and you take action to make them a reality.

Ok, maybe I need to start a new blog called "6 degrees of separation from Fairies". I'm pretty sure I can stretch a connection to everything and Fairies. Anonymous got me excited with that "I believe" comment.

By the way thank you to all the commenters who create "won-a-days" for the rest of us through their comments. I am inspired to continue the pursuit of my ideals by every comment made.
