I stopped being too busy to accept the thanks of an elderly gentleman I had helped print pictures of his grandson he hadn't seen for 10 years. I didn't just listen to the thanks, I listened to as much as he wanted to share about many things and made sure he had my full attention the whole time. He may have wanted someone to talk to but it was me who received the gift.
