A I watched an elderly man gather hazel nuts I decided to give him a bag I had left from last year, his face lit up as if I had given him a bag of gold.

It was yet another interesting in a kind of unusual way day. My young one has been suffering from allergies with headaches and I took him to the Doctor today. He has been having difficulty breathing for probably 3 years now, it has always been blamed on his allergies and has hugely affected his activity levels. Today he was diagnosed with chronic asthma. Not a positive thing you might say.....but the wonder is his spirits are higher then I've seen in awhile. At first he seemed a little shocked and in disbelief but as the Doctor explained it to him you could see this huge relief in his face. He began to realize that this means it's not his fault he can't keep up with his friends and even more importantly that it can & will get better. He bounced his way through the rest of the night and is anxiously looking forward to a day when he can run & bike without running out of breath.
