Racking My Brain for Wonders

Moonbeam said...
I went to bed last night racking my brain for something to write. Nothing really stood out to me. I got up Monday morning and began racking my brain for something to write for Sunday, nothing really stood out to me. I came home from work and began wracking my brain and finally something came to me.

It was a very stressful week at work last week, it will be a very stressful week at work this week. But amongst all that when I think of yesterday what comes to me is playing with my son, talking with my husband, scratching my cat behind the ears, and a few for no currently identifiable reasons, fits of laughter shared between father, mother & son. I am so thankful to have balance in my life and that I know when to walk away or shut it down and not bring it to my family. What a wonder that is for someone living in a society obsessed with work.

Sometimes I think that nothing amazing happens in a day too. But if we can remember that if we have family to share laughter with, maybe a pet to scritch behind the ears, and that nothing horrible happened to us in the day ... that can in itself be pretty amazing!
