Support, Kindness X2, Plotting a Birthday

What a day! There were positive things happening at the office. Awhile back (maritime expression I think) I wrote about a group of local politicians I made a presentation to and how nervous I was speaking with them, today I received a letter stating financial support for one of our projects from one of the directors that was there. That was very exciting!

Later I was on a Tim Hortons coffee run and a man approached my car, I was a little leary at first but then he asked about our car and gave me the phone number of a friend who he said has the same car that we could get for parts, (kindness x2 he was looking out for his friend and giving a stranger the opportunity to get cheap parts). Nice!

After work we began the plotting for my sons birthday. Well actually the plotting had started quite awhile ago. My 18 year old nephew was part of the plan and my son went to spend the night with him. My husband and I did a clean sweep of his bedroom and put in a beautiful double bed, one that will actually support the big little guys body. His bed was so bad, (lumps, bumps, and springy things poking), that one of the most exciting conversations he would begin often started with "someday I want a big bed that's soft and cushy". He had even moved an air matress onto his floor for a few weeks in an attempt to be comfortable. I can't wait for him to get home tomorrow to find his big, soft, cushy new bed in his reorganized room that has a couple of other new perks as well.
