The deer have been absent from our yard for a few weeks, their absence seems to coincide with our extreme weather, as I was walking through the local park I anxiously looked for the group of about 10 that normally are hanging out there. I was a little disappointed to see none at first but later noticed a Mom with her yearling hiding in a small hollow. The fact that there were only two made them stand out even more than usual.
