Vulnerable is Good? Feb 18 - 24th

I'm not sure why keeping my blog up to date has gotten so difficult and I keep wondering if I should go back to writing every day. It's certainly not that I'm any less interested in the wonders of the day. It's certainly not that there are days without wonders. I continue to drop kindness rocks all around our beautiful valley.

Things I've noticed lately:
how white the feathers are of the geese I drive by most mornings
how a graceful swan, usually pure white, looks after hanging out in a muddy field for a few days
how visible the the spring activities of the bald eagles are
how vulnerable our children are long after they begin to appear independent
how vulnerable we all are even though most of us never appear vulnerable in public
how kind people are and the sheer numbers of people who want to help anyone and everyone

“When we were children, we used to think that when we were grown-up we would no longer be vulnerable. But to grow up is to accept vulnerability... To be alive is to be vulnerable.”
...Madeleine L'Engle

Wow! That's a good week!
